CETMA s-WiNG Foot Pockets: For the highest demands in freediving. Ergonomic, lightweight and efficient – the perfect base for modular fins.
The innovative s-WiNG foot pockets by CETMA COMPOSITES are made from a rubber blend that combines the elasticity of natural rubber with the stiffness of thermoplastic rubber. The result is a material with a density of 1.05 g/cm³ – practically weightless in water. The s-WiNG foot pockets are anatomically shaped to wrap the foot perfectly and provide maximum comfort – available in 7 sizes from 35 to 48.
The design includes several high-stiffness reinforcement bands that hold the foot firmly – from heel to big toe. This allows nearly loss-free power transfer, minimizing rubber deformation.
The s-WiNG foot pocket sole is reinforced to prevent deformation under load. Suitable for all types of blades. The stiff blade pocket holds the blade firmly and increases efficiency by up to 30%. The foot support area is 60% longer than conventional fins, improving comfort and energy transfer.
The s-WiNG foot pockets are designed to channel water along the sides of the foot. This “no side rails” system improves hydrodynamic efficiency. Two vertical stabilizers reduce lateral slip and help guide water effectively.
The front section includes a rigid U-shaped reinforcement that stabilizes the blade and prevents rotation along the longitudinal axis.
I use the CETMA s-WiNG foot pockets on my summer fins, the CETMA Mantra CWT Competition. After about an hour, I feel pain across the top of my feet. Since I don’t have a high instep (never had issues with shoes), I assume the instep of the CETMA foot pockets is quite low. I recommend trying them on before buying.
